Nigerian Jollof is better than Ghanaian Jollof- Vp Osibanjo

We all know about the age-long beef about the superiority of Ghanaian Jollof and Nigerian Jollof, and the how Nigeria’s Minister for Information, Lai Mohammed goofed last weekend, when asked by CNN’s Richard about the African country that makes the best Jollof rice.

Nigeria’s Vice President Yemi Osinbajo today weighed in on the forever lingering battle of which Jollof Rice in the continent is the best. Osinbajo who spoke today at the Platform Nigeria, a church based programme in Lagos today, disclosed that Nigerians make the best Jollof rice and that we beat Ghana and Senegal to it hands down. He also talked about Dino Melaye’s hit track, Ajeku Iyani.

Here’s what he said;

“Nobody is as funny as Nigerians and Nigerian comedians whether professionals or amateurs. We even have a member of the National Assembly who recently launched a CD, Ajeku Iyani oje, who has heard of Aye ku Iyani oje. and we are the most innovative entrepreneurs. Recently someone showed me a text sent by a young man to invite him to a book launch with the title, Seven Steps to becoming a professional Whistle Blower. And we all know that Nigerian Jollof rice is the best. We beat the Ghanaians and Senegalese hands down.”

Buhari should address Nigerians to douse tension – AIED

A non-governmental organization, Advocacy for Integrity and Economic Development (AIED), has implored President Muhammadu Buhari to address the nation in a live and interactive broadcast to douse tension across the country over the state of his health. In a statement signed by its Director of Research &Publicity, Comrade O’Seun John, the group stated that the request has become expedient in light of rumours and counter rumours ranging from incapacitation, disorientation and even death. A Pentecostal Bishop, Rt. Rev. Seun Adeoye, has called on all Nigerians to double their prayers for the quick recovery of President Muhammadu Buhari.
